电影中英雄的旅程

在上周分享的文章《每个人的成长都是一场英雄的征程》，我向大家介绍了根据著名神话作者Joseph Campbell著作《千面英雄》改编的英雄需要经历的十二个阶段，称之为“英雄的旅程”，而好莱坞很多大片，其编剧的套路深受该书思想的影响。比如，按照英雄的旅程，大家熟悉的《狮子王》可以这样来观看：

而实际上，在《千面英雄》中描述的，英雄的旅程是17个阶段。如图：

相对于简化版，原版更是涉及到爱情、生死等厚重话题。今日在vimeo看到一个电影剪辑视频，更忠于原版之英雄旅程，特分享给大家：

以下是视频原文简介：

“The Hero’s Journey in Film” is a labour of love. Spanning 80 years of international film history, it consists of over 90 individual films. These all share the fundamental elements of the mythological hero’s adventure as outlined in Professor Joseph Campbell’s “The Hero With a Thousand Faces” (1949), a seminal work of literature which inspired independent film director George Lucas to create his own mythological saga with the “Star Wars” Trilogy.

Campbell outlines the key sequential elements of the heroic adventures as follows – “A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won: the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man.” (“The Hero With a Thousand Faces,” 23).

65 years later, the mythological hero’s quest is alive and well in world cinema.

These universal themes transcend time and all cultural barriers. I hope with this film that you find your own answers and as Joseph Campbell was ever fond of saying, “Follow your bliss.”
